Losing What I Don't Deserve

-He ran as fast as his legs could carry him, and even without a module pack on his back to allow him to sprint he managed to somewhat outrun the other two behind him. He had two red armored spartans chasing him, one was only lighter than the other and both had different helmets. The darker one had an EVA helmet on, and the lighter one had the Mark VI helmet with a small additional attachment at the top of it. Rios also noticed the lighter spartan looked to be hesitating in the chase. None of them had weapons, lucky for him, but knew they would beat him to a pulp for strangling an ODST nearly to death for the third time that day. And it was the very SAME trooper that got strangled that third time. He found himself running to a drop off, but he took his chances and jumped. He regretted jumping as he seen how deep the drop was. He landed hard, and his shield bursted from the impact giving its casual beeping warning but left his ankles stinging in pain. He stood there in a low stance as he heard the other two stop at the edge, and he knew they were staring straight at his back as his shield began to recharge after a good moment. "Don't bother to come back, Rios! Damn unsuffeciant spartans." Rios just managed to hear him mumble, and got angry but he couldn't go back up there anyway. He finally stood up from his slouched position and turned to look at them, only to notice they were still standing there staring at him or more of glaring. Except the lighter spartan, he seemed to look at Rios sympatheticly behind his visor as he stood beside his darker spartan brother. The darker spartan began to turn and walk away, tapping the lighter one's shoulder to get his attention as he walked off and the lighter one seemed to hesitate to follow. He stared down at Rios, and Rios stared back for a long while until the lighter spartan was called by his darker brother. He finally turned and left, looking at Rios over his shoulder until he was out of sight. Rios decided then that he shouldn't ever go back. He had the feeling of worthlessness in the pit of his stomach, but he knew for some reason that the lighter spartan might search for him and comfort him with understanding. He didn't bother to keep his hopes up, and ran away as far as his aching legs would carry his one ton body away from that place that was once home.-


Somewhat depressing story, but Rios is a tough guy and could care less if he was now an outcast in the UNSC. The title is part of the lyrics to "Burning in the Skies" by Linkin Park because I couldn't come up with something better. And I chose it as the title because he doesn't keep friends long, and he thinks he doesn't really deserve friends anyway because of his REALLY bad behavior. Then again, he doesn't care. :I
